Hey,

I am sitting here in my hotel room in Lansing, Michigan where I am doing three appearances for the Capitol District Library of Lansing. I am doing an hour presentation to over 200 people on the “eBay Millionaire Secret.

After doing Q & A and also speaking with people after the talks, I have realized that you need more 1 on 1 with me so that I can answer your ebay specific questions, and that has sparked a new idea for me.

I will be announcing a new experience that will be bigger than anything I have done before!

STOP IT!

Stop whining and complaining about the ebay system.  Stop fighting against the rules of ebay and start to play along…

Lets say you just started out on eBay, and now you have built up a good number of feedbacks and you have 100% positive feedback.  You feel great, and you are being trusted which is allowing you to make your sales and your profits.

Then it happens, you get slapped out of the blue with a negative feedback.  It could be that a shipment got lost, or you missed an email from the customer, or maybe it was just a competitor trying to make you look bad.

If you don’t think that happens, think again…  It happens to everyone.

When you get into a battle with a competitor, there will be dirty business all over the place.  Don’t stoop to that level.  Keep on plowing forward..

So, you get hit with this negative feedback and then BAM.. business stops..

You immediately get mad, furious, hot, sweaty, anxious.  So, you call eBay and complain and whine, and nothing changes.  Then you get sad, down, and you realize what has happened to your business.

eBay is the only place where you can do such a thing.  Just imagine if anyone could walk out of a store, and slap a big red X on the front of the building with a rude comment along with it so that every customer who drives by could see that transaction went bad..

Well, if you are going to sell on eBay, and use all of their great features and exposure, then stop complaining about the system.  Stop calling eBay and trying to get the negative removed.  No matter how obvious it is, eBay does not care.  that is their system, and you have to play the game.

Now, I don’t mean you need to go back and leave negatives on your competitors.  NO.  Never retaliate!

Part of what you should already have established in your eBay business is a “gold product”.  This product will be somewhere around $10, and it is a guaranteed sell on a regular basis.  This product should be on an automatic “relist” daily.

This product is a guaranteed sell for you, and it might only make you a few dollars, but the point is to make the sale.  “RING THE REGISTER”

Now, you will begin to rack up the feedbacks… Not only will your percentage of negatives thin out, but you will be able to move that negative feedback off the first page very quickly.  Once that feedback is off the first page, it will have little to no affect on your business.

This gold product should always be sold, whether you have the negative sitting there or not because lets say you have 20 of those products sold, but the customer hasn’t left you positive feedback yet, well in the meantime you get a negative, and it is sitting at the top.  Now you have 20 positives that will push it right down the list..

PLAY THE EBAY GAME.

Prior to the NFL season starting this year. My in-laws got their hands on 4 tickets to the Patriots v Colts on Nov 4th. We knew it would be great, but we didn’t realize it would be a historic game with so much hype and so many records being broken. Two undefeated teams would meet with two future hall of fame quarterbacks going head to head. It seemed the whole world was watching, and it turned out to be an awesome game.

Big thanks to Jim and Mike for inviting me to the game! I had a great time, even though the colts couldn’t hang on for the win.

**** I do want to mention that there is a common theme amongst the best players in the NFL.  Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Randy Moss, … you name it.  Every one of them goes out and plays every game with 100% confidence.  Never wavering.  Never doubting their abilities.  They know that they have prepared themselves to be the best and they have the confidence to make the big plays with the whole world watching.

Think of yourself in the same light.  You must have 100% confidence to make yourself a success.  No matter how many times you fail, make the wrong decisions, or fall flat on your face, you still must go into the next situation or the next day with 100% confidence that you can do it.  You must, and you will.

I am checkin in from Arizona where I am putting finishing touches on new videos here at midnight. It has been a busy week around Phoenix, and not to mention temperatures over 110º. It’s ridiculous.

It has been an intense week, and one of the interviews ran live on Friday morning to all of Phoenix which included a few hundred thousand viewers!

One of the points that I touched on in this interview was “FEAR”. Fear is the most powerful feeling that will alter your business and life. Have you ever seen the sign that reads….”Dance as if nobody were watching, and sing as if nobody were listening”.

Wow, if you could live by these words in all aspects of your life… what would change?

What would you be doing if it weren’t for the fears holding you back? Where would you be?

As you can see in the diagram below, fear is the BIGGEST obstacle between the average joe and the successful business owner. The business aspects can all be learned, but are you willing to go for it?

Look, the step between average and success is very small, but “the Great Wall of Fear” is the only thing standing in your way.

For the past few weeks, I have been hard at work talking to the media. From New Jersey to California, and from newspapers to Television. The buzz is getting wild and my “inbox” is out of control! It’s awesome! Finally, YOU will be able to start your own business, work when you want and make as much as you want. You will also have the time and freedom to spend with your family and friends. We are only 6 DAYS away from the biggest launch eBay business has ever seen. In honor of the countdown to launch, you deserve a good laugh.

I spent all of my time and effort trying to build businesses since I was about 19. The common factor in all of my efforts was that the final goal was simply to make a ton of money. So, why did none of my ventures work? The answer is because MONEY can not motivate you on its own. I failed over and over. Trying new great ideas all the time, but nothing seemed to stick.

Everything changed for me when I realized that MONEY was not my motivator.

In 2004, I sat in a dark cubicle watching the clock tick. I watched and listened closely to the people around me. All I heard was ANGER, BLAME, JEALOUSY, ENVY…. and most of all, I heard over and over again that each worker had a BIGGER dream. They all had something that they really wanted to achieve and this current job was just temporary.

Well, my dream was to be home with my family. My dream was to be with wife and for us to raise our daughter together. I wanted to be there for Tatum everyday so she wouldn’t see me as a stranger, and so that we could share and enjoy life together. After all, spending 40 hours a week with a bunch of WHINERS and COMPLAINERS at the office is NOT what I signed up for. I wanted energy, passion, excitement. EVERYDAY. Now with 2 kids, and a truly wonderful loving wife, I have the ultimate motivation with me everyday.
I can sum up my ultimate goal and motivator in one single word… “TIME”

I sat down with Fox News earlier this week for a feature story that they will run later this week. We did an in studio shoot for the story on myself and the video series launching August 8th.

The people at FOX were excellent, and did a very professional shoot.  I was impressed, and I am sure it will be an excellent segment!  Thank you again to all who were involved.

Im sorry to report that my buddy, Jon L. in Scottsdale, AZ just got laid off from the same company that I was laid off from about 4 years ago. I just wanted to let everyone know that if you were just laid off, “don’t sit back on that severance”. That is the LAST thing you want to do. Now is the time where you are basically getting a paid vacation to startup exactly what you want to do!

This is the perfect time to start a business. Millions of people are sitting at a job they hate wishing that they could just have a couple days off to get started. That is all they need, just a little TIME to get going!

So, now you have just been laid off and rather than seizing this HUGE opportunity that has been handed to you, you are going to choose to sit back and relax….???
